Afternoon all - quick question.
I've recently invested in a new Sony seperates kit, including the NS52 DVD Player. It supports Progressive Scan pictures via Component Video cable.
HOWEVER - my television, a 36" Panasonic, doesn't have Component sockets...only Scart & S Video.
Superfi are selling (what appears to be) a Component to Scart lead for about £35 (3 plugs at one end, Scart at the other).
Will this enable me to watch dics in the Progressive Scan mode as per my DVD Players spec ?
I intend to upgrade to Plasma in 18 months, so this may seem a reasonable upgrade for now.
Cheers all.

i doubt it. the only way it would work is if the tv aqccepted component over scart but this is unlikely. it would likely only take RGB, composite and svideo over scart.

have a look at the manual as it may be a feature though I suspect you'll probably be stuck with interlaced RBG for now.
