First post ever! Thinking of philips 32pf9986 LCD or panasonic viera 37" plasma. LCD looked amazing but worried it was too sharp and could become quite tiring to look at after a while. Viera plasma looked softer and bigger and possibly easier to live with. Anyone had either screen could help me decide which one to go for. Watch sky tv and dvd's.
Will be buying asap and would love some advice.
Cheers

Hello again!

You can soften the picture on the 9986 to your own preferences. I can soften mine of to the point that it looks just like a good old CRT!

Don't bother with the Viera, it has no HiDef abilities and is a Plasma.....'nuff said.

(If you don't know what I mean by 'nuff said, just ask..)

Also, the 9986 has Ambilight - reduces eye strain very effectively and is just generally very clever. A whole new dimension to TV viewing.

Stop messing around and get the 9986.
