    This is what has happened to my Nikon P100 after it was accidentally dropped.

    Any advice as to what I can do to rectify the problem would be much appreciated.

    Not much you can do I'd guess other than get a quote from Nikon for getting a fixed price repair or claim against household insurance... :(
