    Im looking at getting me a Hifi setup, Can i use say a 50-60W amp with 100W speakers?
    And does anyone know the ratings of a Arcam Alpha 6 and 7R when used with 6 ohm speakers? Thanks Rob

    yes you can use a 50-60w amp with 100w speakers. but if you overdrive that amp into distortion (clipping), it will quickly make toast of your tweeters. however an 150w amplifier will generally not harm your speakers as it won't go into clipping. if you never overdrive your amplifier, then you will be ok. if it sounds clean, then all is well, but as soon as it starts to sound harsh, back off. also heavy use of the bass control will cause the amplifier to work hard and go into clipping earlier.
