Right, i bought a case from these guys via their website 2 nights ago..... i got an order email with all their details and had to pay by paypal (or i could have done cheque/transfer etc.). I thought this was a tad dodgy but went ahead anyhow on the basis that their site is not just thrown together, it looks totally reasonable and i had no reason to doubt them.

Anyhow, i had to confirm by email my paypal payment, which i did and i asked for confirmation that they received. But nothing. I sent a further email in case the first was lost, but still nothing. And this is given that the website claims next day delivery..... they cant possibly be doing next day delivery if they arent checking their orders! Then to make matters worse, i went about trying to call them..... but it is a mobile number which just rings. I talked to their bank but they either couldnt or wouldnt divulge a landline number and likewise for their internet host (who say that they have hosted for this company for 4 years). They are meant to be contacting them on my behalf, but nothing yet. The company is listed (they are foris ltd) on companieshouse.gov.uk, but again no contact number.

I have even been to paypal to try and cancel the payment which is yet uncollected, but they say they cant do that! So altogether very unsatisfactory and not a thing i can do unless i want to cancel my paypal payment and fight it out with them.

so does anyone know of this foris ltd? or have any good ideas on what to do? I know im jumping the gun having only ordered 2 days ago, but anyone would expect they should be able to get in contact, hence my worries.

    many thanks

Did you notice the availability of the product you ordered. I've just taken a quick look and they list available stock and likely leadtimes. Maybe the case you ordered is not in stock and hence the delay in delivering to you.

there were a load of them in stock....... i have got somewhere though, the sites hosts i did manage to contact. The woman i spoke to couldnt give me details, but went and spoke to the guy and he was meant to call me back, but didnt. When i spoke to her again she told me that the guy said they were going through a move and they were not taking new orders, but orders placed would be either dealt with or refunded..... but the guy didnt say which. She was very surprised he hadnt called and even more so that the number given wasnt a landline number. So she is to give him another ring in the morning and hopefully get him to call me. Otherwise i will be putting my big foot in and trading standards will be getting a big complaint...... if the guy has any sense he doesnt want that.

anyhow..... keep your fingers crossed :D

From 192.com it gives the address as flat 1 not 7...

    FORIS LTD
    FLAT 1 SYCAMORE COURT
    SANDCLIFF ROAD
    ERITH KENT
    DA8 1NB

    and the following number...

    0800 085 0347

    which seems dead...the plot thickens.

Hope you get it sorted mate.

    Cheers, Lee

Thanks guys, you have been a great help.

I have literally just got the situation resolved. I had a great deal of help from their web host who contacted him repeatedly and were able to get me a phone number and get him to call me. So I now have the money refunded and i will have to go and get my case elsewhere.

For interest sakes, there are administative difficulties and im not sure that orders are being accepted or dealt with or what. I suggest that anyone trying to order should make sure they can get in touch directly prior to finalising anything.

    thanks again

Having grown up in Erith, anyone trading out of Sandcliffe Road is unlikely to be kosher, due to it being a few rows of old late 1800- early 1900 terraces in the rough end of town (and believe me, nearly all of Erith is pretty rough).

Well the situation is resolved as far as i am aware so im not going to say anything beyond buyer beware..... make sure you can actually get hold of them prior to ordering.

Oh, if a mod reads this, please close.
