Hi at the moment i have all my settings at default but peoples faces look washed out like a poor cam shot, this is on sd although hd is slightly better.

So any ideas on what to try ?

What are you watching on, what is the video source?

Thanks i am using the TBS 6981 on freesat\satellite through MediaPortal then onto a Panasonic plasma and getting the symptoms above the faces look washed out (like a cheap movie download) with what looks like glare on their foreheads\faces

By default the ATI drivers set a lot of video enhancements as on, so you could go to the catalyst control panel and try turning them all off, or experimenting with different variations.

Also, try changing the pixel format settings as they make a lot of difference to the overall look.

Finally, you may need to calibrate your display to look better with your HTPC, by changing the picture settings on your panasonic.
