    :lesson:

I have a 42" Techwood plasma.. despite various reviews its an OK screen..

    However..

Ive got a 1 inch black line that runs in the centre of the screen from top to bottom...

    Apparently it is a fault...

    Anyone have any ideas........... Please.......

especially if it can be fixed at minimal cost....:lease:

If you do a search on this forum for "Techwood" you'll find a few threads about them.

Unfortunately, there's 99% chance it's totalled, unfixable. Not just 'not economically fixable' but seriously cream crackered. I'd start looking into what you can do about that. I presume it's out of warranty, maybe not by much?

If you just need a new screen e.g. the tuner box is ok etc then you might want to try a few Dixons stores as they were selling off the Screens for £497 recently

Crikey, at under £500 it's plasmas for the kids! Now, let me just find a bigger house to fit them in. Seriously, even a techwood is worth £500.

if it is under 2 years old its time to start a dialogue ie its unnaccepptable to have a failure of this magnitude on such an expensive item as it should "last a reasonable period of time"
