I have recently unearthed a Technics compact disk player SL-PJ26A with a set of speakers. Just need a little help with getting it up and running and what i'll need to purchase.
Thanks in advance

You'll need an amplifier between the CD player and speakers.

This would be the cheapest new one.

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO TOPAZ AM1Black Stereo Amplifier

Pretty decent machine too.

S/h?, then a cheap one like this would do the job.

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO A1 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

Or this,

Marantz PM-4001 Stereo Integrated Amplifier Black, with Phono input 4951035029442 | eBay

Then you'll need a pair of phono interconnects,

1m HQ OFC 2 x Phono Plugs to Plugs Audio Cable Gold | eBay

To connect the CD player to the amplifier.

And some speaker wire, say 2 times 2 or 3 metres of this,

Fisual Super Pearl 2.5mm Speaker Cable Black - By Brand - AudioVisual Online - UK Home Cinema and Hifi Specialists

And off you go. Best of luck.
