I wonder if anyone can help :

my friend owns a restaurant has been left high and dry by an av company who went bust in the middle of a job and he has no money to pay anyone else.

There are 8 JBL ceiling speakers fitted plastered in and cables running to behind bar area, they have used regular 42 strand speaker cable for each speaker . The speakers are 8 ohm 80w rated. luckily they left the amp a Teac AR610 with 130w per ch output at 8ohm or 100w per ch at 4 ohm.

each speaker is in a different section of the restaurant so Ideally i'd like to run them in mono so that theres no sound separation in that area.

Can I bridge the output from the AR610 to mono at the amp and connect amp to some sort of connector then each speaker to that connector.?

also can I put an in line volume control to each speaker?

obviously I'm concered with potential impedence problemd and damage to amp etc

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

get a AA battery, and connect the + to the + and - to the - and you should here like a cracle from the speaker, thus you can find the position of the speaker and connect them to the amp.

    hope that helps mate.

just read it properly your question :S
