Hi, i know this has probably been asked a hundred times but i need some advise on the speaker settings on my B&W 603 S3'S and my REL 305, i currently have my speakers set to small in the main configuration and the sub set to yes, the LFE or LFE/MAINS is set to LFE and the crossover is set to 80, in the stereo configuration i have the speakers set to large with no sub, when it was installed the guys who installed it set the fronts to large but my daughter got her hands on it and managed to change every setting known to man:mad:, i phoned the store and a different instalation team set it up completly the opposite and now im not sure which setting is correct, can anyone give me some advise on how they would set up the equiptment shown in my signiture?

You should set the 603's to Large with the Sub crossing over at 60hz. The 603"s have no problem with low Bass and dont need to be protected, in fact you will be holding them back and taking away all their dynamics! Give it a try

    Read here ,

Set Your Speakers to Small in Your Receiver Setup

Set to Large , any crossover setting is usually ignored and everything goes to what should be a set of full range speakers.
The Sub is not used in this case.
If you want to make use of the Sub , always set to small with a crossover.

Yes, that will work nicely with the limitless power reserves of a 2809.

You can set the Sub to work WITH full range speakers on any Denon Amp.

cheers guys, i must admit when the speakers were set to small it seemed like it had reduced the dynamics, i will try them out on the LARGE setting.

once again thanks for all your comments, i have set the speakers to large and lowered the crossover to 60 and it sounds fantastic now, it seems to have a lot more dynamics than it previously had when the speakers were set to small.
