    Hi all -

I've recently become self-unemployed - now I'm "working" out of my home office. Since I like to listen to music up here, I was going to swipe my wife's cambridge soundworks speaker setup (those little cube speakers with a small sub woofer).

That means I'll have to replace them with something. Now, for my home theatre, I picked up a whole surround sound system for like $400.

However, when I start to price out speakers alone "a la carte" - it quickly exceeds $400.

Am I better off buying a complete package again, and considering the amp a bonus? Should I consider used?

any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated!
