I've just moved and I want to connect up to Sky Digital.

My house already has a satellite dish and the necessary cables running into the property, though no set top box or remote.

My question is this. Sky tell me that they have to reinstall. Is this correct? Is there any other way of utilising the existing equipment or is it redundant? Somebody told me I could buy a set top box separately, but how do I then get this connected???

    Help please

Go for the subsidised install (it was £20 on their web site)

If you wish to subscribe to the full package then that is the cheapest way. If you want FTV then buy all means buy a second hand box. Try eBay or your local installer.
