Question Help with Samsung 40JU6000 backlight issue?

Hi,

Hoping for some help please, I've just bought a Samsung 40JU6000 and all I've done is pop it on the wall mount and changed the setting to Movie Mode but I've noticed a large band of light on each end of the screen please see picture. What to do?

I find these screens have quite a narrow vertical viewing angle. My curved 6000 series looks horrible unless view from straight on in both vertical and horizontal directions.

You may need to angle the screen to minimise the light bleed.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply, I'm sat straight in front of the tv. The odd thing is I can't see the lines when viewing with a image on screen. I'm trying some setting now to see if it helps.

I've changed the settings and it's not so bad now but still there when using apps like YouTube or plex where they have dark backgrounds. It's odd that it can't be seen when watching tv.

Does anyone else have any thoughts, would you live with it or return the set?
