Help with PC to HDTV setup

First of all apologies if I've posted in the incorrect section, Im new here.

Ok, I'm trying to watch HD video on my HDTV from my PC.

My Current Hardware

PC - 2 x DVI outs (1 used for primary monitor, 2nd used used secondary monitor)

HDTV - 2 x HDMI sockets
1 x VGA socket

Proposed solution (the best I could think of :()

Buy 1 x DVI switch with 2 outputs and 1 input
Buy DVI to VGA converter
Buy VGA cable (for switch to HDTV)

From PC > DVI slot 2 >
Switch
> 2ND Monitor
> HDTV

So I would use my PC and 2 monitors as usual. When I want to watch HD video on my HDTV I'll press a button on the Switch which disables my 2nd monitor and enables the HDTV.

Is this setup okay? Please comment, or suggest a better set up.

As you may be aware, I am totally new at this. Thank you very much for your help.

Switchshould work fine, but rather than a converter and cable why not just get a DVI to HDMI cable?

It almost certainly won't carry sound though.

True. So DVI to HDMI cable instead.

So do you recommend I do to enable audio?

Heres an illustration of what I have in mind at the mo -

Just read my HDTV manual and it says that HDMI won't work from a PC graphics card. Therefore I'll have to get DVI to VGA cable instead.

Anyone know where I could buy the correct switch? Looked on ebay and couldn't find anything
