    Hi,

I need a little help choosing a new MP£/WMA player. I recenlty got the DAH1200T and the radio was so poor I sent it back. My requirements are:

    512Mb solid state player
    Support for WMA VBR 64Kbps
FM Radio with record function (not possible on HD based players hense solid state)
Radio that actually picks up stations with autotune (DAH1200T didn't)
    Voice record
    Direct encoding
Support WMA tags as well as MP3 and displays them when playing a track (DAH1200T only shows the file name)
Search for next song while playing current (DAH1200T cant)
Not scroll the track/Artist/Album too slowly (DAH12300T was painfully slow - 1 character per second)

    My current shortlist is:

    MPIO FL100 (no direct encode)
    MPIO FY200
    COWON iAudio4 CW400
    IRiver iFP795
    IRiver iFP895

anyone have experience of these and a view.

    Cheers,
    P

    Hi,

Thanks for the info. I have looked at the ibead but I just now decided to settle for the iriver IFP-895.

Thanks for the help anyway. I'll post here when I get it to let people know if it is any good.

    Cheers,
    Paul

In theory, the DabsValue one meets your spec for only £79.99 including VAT. I would love to know if these are any good.
