Have a BFG GF 8800 GTS 512 card and recently got 22" LG monitor, looking to upgrade gfx card for <£150

My system atm intel E6400 o/c @3.2 but in next month or so hopefully getting I5 750.

What gaming gfx card would be best to complement that?

Thanks

Monitor resolution is 1600x900 and i have 2gb DDR2 800mhz, hope to get 4gb 1600mhz DDR3 for I5 rig!

Any other info needed?

Thanks

At that budget you could get yourself a 4890 (you can get a good deal these days) or a 5770. Both will game at ease at that resolution and will go nicely with your i5 upgrade.

The 4890 is the more powerful card and will give solid performance in DX9 and DX10. Personally though I would go for the 5770 over the 4890. The 5770 gives you performance of around a 4870 plus the features of DX11 and lower power consumption.

Available from £122:

Which gives you some cash left over for your planned DDR3 too.
