Help with my cooker not working properly

Hey guys

Didnt even know there was a section on cookers. Right result. Im hoping someone can help me.

I have a Candy cooker and today it tripped the circuit breaker in the main fuse box to the house. I flick it back on and it was fine after that.

Now the grill works, the fan comes on, but when put on the oven there is no heat. After being on for half an hour i could still touch the racks inside the oven and they were cold.

Anyone shed some light on this please? Is it the thermostat? If so, easy enough job or new cooker?

Thanks

Tripping followed by dead would be characteristic of one of the oven elements failing - if there is more than one ( They may be in series)

But determining the fault for sure would require some testing.

How easy depends on familiarity with dismantling procedures, determining what has failed and obtaining the correct parts.

Thanks for replying. I think its best if i get someone out to check it and do the work then. I have got a quote from someone to come out, fix it, all in for around £75. Thats much safer than me trying to mess about with it. Lol
