My current speaker system in a 7.1 setup consists of
    mission m34 fronts
Mission 70 x2 surround side and 2x surround rear
    mission 70 x1 centre
    70ASE subwoofer
The surrounds and sub are from the mission cinema six pack, which had very good reviews, i am thinking of getting the matching centre to my m34`s the m3c2 , 4 dipole surrounds and a new sub.
Are dipole speakers better in a 7.1 setup and would the mission m7 range be a good match for my m34`s or would i be better sticking with the m3 range.
Are there any other surround sound speakers and subs that anyone could recommend.

thanks for the reply, after reading the article i am thinking dipoles at the sides and normal speakers at the rear.Any one have any thoughts on this?
My system has a sweet spot and iam trying to difuse the surround sound effect to get a better sound for the rest of the audience

in my opinion, I'm not sure the added expense of 7.1 is worth it. There are no source materials for it (that i know of) also having 6.1 myself i cant feel any great improvement on soundfield that would warrant the extra speaker.

Which amp/receiver are you using just out of curiosity?

I currently use the Pioneer VSX-D912 and pioneer dvd-575,yes 7.1 isnt a true format should be called 6 and a half.1 maybe :) .what i really want to know is will i get any improvement using dipole speakers. When i moved from the sony 930 5.1 to the pioneer i bought the mission m34`s for fronts so that i could use 7 speakers, i feel the extra speakers at the rear fills in the soundstage rather like the front centre did
