I’ve copied some videos from my Panasonic DV camcorder onto my hard disk via firewire. Want to edit with MediaStudio Pro 7, but which option should I choose, from the “New Edit File Format” dialog box? Drop down list have AVI and MPEG. Under each is a full list of file? I’ve tried several at random and it seems to make no difference! I can still insert my video clip and start editing.

Also, my father just bought a Sony dvd camcorder. I selected MPEG, DVD PAL for “Edit File Format”, went ahead and edited it, burned to dvd and picture quality was rubbish! Why?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
