Can anyone see a problem locating an active sub under the TV ?

Will it cause picture distortion or possibly damage the TV ?

I had a passive sub under an older telly for years with no problems.

    All comments welcome.

Depends on the type of sub along with the distance and angle from the TV. I'm afraid there's no straight answer unless the sub is shielded. If it's shielded it's fine, if not you may have to play a bit.

Do you know about the principle of locating a sub in a room "node." It does make a difference if the layout of your lounge is not the dictating factor about where the sub has to go.
