Help with Kef Egg Stands Which ones

    I need some help with the selection of speaker stands for kef eggs. As I understand it the official stands are not that good is this true ???

    If so what do people recommend?:smashin: :confused: :rotfl:

    The Kef Egg stands are crap to put it mildly.Mount them on the ceiling instead.:smashin:

    Crumbs you must be tall - I've always been told to mount the front speakers at ear height sitting down.

    BTW the egg I use for the centre rear is just screwed to the wall - looks/sounds fine and appears pretty solid

    the walls sounds good, but im not able to do that in this flat !!! due to the landlord, things will be different when i buy a house .....

    With that in mind what stands do you rec for the kef eggs

    The kef stands are crap but the mount ensures that no others will fit.

    Yeah, Ok great, they're crap - but seriously what alternative is ther short of srewing them to the walls?

    Point them down to where the listening position is sorted nae problem by using a pair of steps !:clap: :rotfl:

    Do the Keff have a flat bottom?

    If so consider something like Atacama Nexus 6 (£60) or Partington Dreadnought (£100), the latter are particularly liked by What HIFI.

    Yes they have a flat bottom unlike my missus who has a looooovely bottom:smashin: :kisses: :kisses: so i guess you could mount them on a majority of stands or shelves etc etc.

    What!? Your wife or your speakers? :smoke:

    Anyway the answer is yes, remember to buy some dry sand to fill them with, use blue-tack to attach your speakers to the stand.
