    Hello all,
    Would anyone be as kind to advise me on their prefered settings for the kdl32v2500. Ive just brought one after selling a dissapointing samsumg and require as much basic help as possible! All i run through it is standard sky digital, a old sony dvd recorder and an even old vhs recorder.
    Many thanks, Matt

    I used this excellent site as the basis for the settings for mine:

    http://www.lyris-lite.net/bravia_tips.html

    What I recommend is that you try these as a decent starting point. They won't necessarily be perfect for your situation, because the ambient light will be different to my room, but they probably won't be far off:

    - Choose Target Inputs = All

    Picture Mode = Custom
    Backlight = 5
    Contrast = 75
    Brightness = 80
    Colour = 33
    Colour Temp = Cool
    Sharpness = 4
    Noise Reduction = Off

    Advanced:

    Black Corrector = Off
    Advanced Contrast Enhancer = Off
    Gamma = Off
    Clear White = High
    Colour Space = Normal
    MPEG Noise Reduction = Off

    That very first choice (Target Input) is saying that you want the settings to apply to Freeview, Scart, Component, HDMI etc all exactly the same.

    The balance between Brightness and Contrast is hard to find. At the moment those numbers suit my room, but not all the time on every programme.

    Once you've set it up like this and you decide that the settings don't suit, say, your Scart input you can go in again and set Target Input to Viewing Only and tweak the settings that apply when you're watching via a Scart connection (you have to be watching via Scart at the time, obviously).

    Good luck!

    Good question. I know PC screens/graphics cards have the same settings, so there must be plenty of stuff about it on the web.
