Hi veterans and everyone,
I am looking into getting a surround sound Dolby setup; mainly eyeing the Sony HTA7000 which supports 7.1 channel.
However, I don’t have a TV and am planning to use this soundbar with my 4k monitor (which obv doesn’t have Earc) and my ps5 as a blue ray player. Hence, will this still work for me? Will I still be able to enjoy the 7.1 surround sound and Dolby Atmos or other formats of Dolby?
Not too sure about the technicalities, but to me I just need my display to output the picture of the movie which I am watching and the ps5 can decode the Dolby Atmos of the Blue ray disc and this output to the soundbar.
Please clarify for me or correct me if I am wrong
