    Hi Guys,

I bought a laptop off the classifieds recently and just had it delivered. It has had XP Pro installed and boots up to a login screen where it asks for the windows software to be registered. I tried to do this by phoning the support number and giving the product key that was on the laptop, however it was not a valid number.

I have my own copy of XP Home I can install on the laptop, however I cannot get past the logon screen because I am unable to activate the windows software that has been loaded onto the harddrive (The guy I bought it from has yet to reply to my PM asking about why the product key is invalid).

Is there any way of erasing the hard drive without getting past the logon screen so I can do a fresh install?

    Thanks,

    Steve
