Hi all,
Our Foxsat has taken to recording things twice. Once on the standard 101 BBC1 channel, but also on the 9xx BBC local channels. This means that a recording of The Hospital on BBC1 was preventing a recording of Brooklyn 99 on E4. It had to be recorded on the +1 channel, luckily that existed. It doesn't for the Beeb. This only happens with the BBC, usually BBC1. Any advice?

It's been that way for a while since late last year. The BBC have changed the way they code series recordings.

The solution is simple use edit channels to delete all the unwanted Nation HD channels and leave just your local SD region.

This what happened last year when the BBC used the same series CRID for the Christmas day Strictly Come dancing special. All the competition shows recorded OK. So the change was made after the last show and before the 25th December

I don't know that we have that facility any more? On the first Humax box you had loads of options - to move channels around, rename them, or delete them. On the Freetime box we have now, I don't think those facilities are still available.

Thanks again, Graham. Your advice is always the best.

Yes they are but are many miss them. Go into settings and on the right of the screen there is a very large right facing arrow which also has the word MORE vertically through it. This will take you to the freesat channels setting. I don't think the word MORE was originally there.

Sorry, I meant that generically. It is a Freetime box, not the very latest but the one before.

Brilliant! Those channels are now removed, thanks REPASSAC :) We'll see what that gives next time we need to record on the Beeb.

PS. @REPASSAC - we live in a town called Pessac, in France.

I've noticed no problems - at least in recent times - on the BBC with my Foxsat-HDR with all the Nations and Regions saved.

That's not to say that the occasional error might be made by the BBC?

I didn't record Hospital Covid is depressing enough without watching it on TV for 'entertainment'. {We usually enjoy that sort of show in normal times}.

We use(d) the Nations HD as a clash-fix for things like Holby occasionally.

Cool, vous habitez ici, aussi ? Près d'Eauze ? :) I think ours is a 100 cm dish too, although when we first moved here I had a Sky dish balanced on a chair in the garden, and that worked perfectly. The only problem was the state coming round to check on our house as my wife was trying to become a nounou, or childminder. We had to put security on the stairs, windows, and cupboard doors, and the dish needed to be put up on the roof. That's when the Sky dish was rejected by the satellite guy, and replaced with a bog-standard round one.

My wife is a great fan of medical stuff, a bit of a médécin-manqué. That being said, it is fairly coviod-free for the moment because the filming hasn't caught up with March yet. Time will tell...

We are nearer to Aire-sur-l'adore than Eauze (which is were we used to live near). We are now in a very small commune with a population of about 100.
