Help with footie from the Colonies

Let me start by saying that I am here in the Colonies and so am very little help to my Uncle back home in England. I have a Panny 42PD25U Viera plasma here in America and convinced my Uncle that Plasmas were great. Now I have had some issues over here with footie but figured they were to do with the over compressed signal we get from DirecTV. Well my Uncle went out and got a 37" Phillips which he says for steady pictures looks great. However when he watches football (On Sky) he says that the players appear to melt as they run. I presume that this is because the update rate of the plasma can't keep up with the fast movement. He has boxed the Plasma back up and sent it back

What do you recommend as a good 37" Plasma for watching football on SKY?

Also anyone know what is the 37" UK equivalent of my Plasma

 

in the UK there is 37" Veira thet
TH-37PE30 tell him to retun the uselesss ALIS (have a searcg) philips and get a veira.... has adigital tuner for freeview as well (wont work with sky HD due in 2006/7 tho)
