I just bought a Sony Receiver STR-DA7ES and it supports DTS Prologic and many more. I rented a DVD to test the DTS Mode. It was X2 I think anyway the manual says DVDs with DTS encoded will light up on the display DTS if it is one but it doesn't light up DTS. It shows up Dolby Digital Pro Logic. I wonder why? The receiver is set up using Optical input from the DVD player and is set to use it. Sounds great but I just wanted to test the DTS part that I have read about.
    Thanks in advance,
    Leon

Did you select DTS output from the disc setup menu ? Easy to overlook.

I think I figured it out if this makes any sense. I checked the setup menu on my Sony DVD player and only supports Dolby Digital 5:1 PCM or D-PCM..It doesn't list DTS. could that be the problem?
    Thanks
