    Hi

Just got a DVDR70 Connections as follows:

    Telewest cable box > DVDR70 EXT2
TV scart > DVDR70 s-video+audio L & R (because this was set up on my old system)

Using direct record it doesn't match the TV's channel. searches and displays EXT1 (so nothing found) So, I guess this is because there is nothing connected to EXT1 ?

Should I ditch the s-video connection from the recorder to my TV in favour of a scart to scart via EXT1? If so, what is the point of offering the s-video link? I assumed this connection would give better picture quality. but is this at the expense of having no direct record?

    Thanks
