    Please help....

Looking for a sub in the £400 price range. (Could be stretched though - just dont tell the wife!).

-Anyway, should not take up more than 400mm square area.
    -Has to be active.
-Going to be using it for primarily Home cinema.
-Want to 'feel' the bass as well as hear it. A real thumper.
    -Black finish
    -Preferable downward firing driver
    -10-12" driver

    Thanks for any feedback

    Mornin'

    Velodyne CHT-R10 - £359
    Velodyne CHT-R12 - £469
    Canton AS40SC - £450

Great subs, very reliable and excellant quality. CHT-R12 won the subwoofer shoot out in 'What Hi*Hi? Sound and Vision' April 2005 issue.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for that...

Seems like Velodyne CHT-12R looks like the best option. Just need hear a demo of one.
