    Hi,

I am thinking of buying a Panasonic TH37PW7 plasma from Richer Sounds. To go with it I'm also thinking of buying a Yamaha DSPAX750 Amp and Kef KHT2005.2 surround sound system. The problem I'm having is with the cards for the plasma screen, I need to connect my DVD which has component outputs and also a Sky box and XBOX will need to be connected to it. Would it be better to get a component terminal card and a scart terminal card for the plasma with possibly a junction scart box? Also does anyone know if I have to buy the panasonic terminal cards or are there alternatives?

    Thanks for your time

    Damon

you have to buy panasonic terminal cards (some TOSH rebranded ones will work) the JS RGB>VGA converter is a higher quality option than panny scart board have a read of the many many PW7 threads around here and this one particularly:http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=154292 long but contains all you need!

PS there are better places to buy than RS...............

    Thanks for the reply hornydragon.

I have checked out the thread and they basically mention to get the js rgb converter, however I want to be able to add a couple of RGB's i.e. video, Sky etc what would I need for that and also are there any higher quality component boards like the js rgb converter which I could also add to the plasma?

    Appreciate the help

sounds to me like you need a scart card for cable and VCR XBOX can also do component so add a component card for DVD and Xbox (you will need sound so look for an AV Amp with component switching) Entry level Yamaha, Denon and Pionner etc £200 ish upwards

So I need to basically buy a scart card and component card for the plasma screen, the amp I'm getting (Yamaha DSPAX750) has component switching so that should do it.

    Thanks for your help.
