Hi all, i'm completely new to htpc's so please can you help. I'm getting a antec fusion case with 430w psu to go on my shelf along with amp, ps3 etc.

What type of mobo do i need? I'll be getting a decent card, prob 8600gt or similar so i only need mobo to have spdif out really.

What intel cpu to last me a while? E6600? Or would a E4500 be ok to keep the price down a bit? I'll be using it for a bit of gaming but got a ps3 for that mainly.

Please can someone help me out a bit? :lease:

    Antec Fusion is Micro ATX.
8500 GT is fine for HTPC, but lousy for gaming.
A 2ghz Intel dual core is fine for 1080p material. You don't need quad core unless doing lots of high CPU work, video encoding, compressing etc.

It was a 8600gt i was thinking of, not 8500. Whats the minimum spec cpu & graphic card i should be getting then? Want to play 1080p stuff and the odd game on decent high settings?
