Help with av setup needed: Linn Katans any good for 5.1?

    I'm going to be setting up a good quality av and hi-fi in a new house in about a months time. It's my first real dabble in highish end kit (well high for me) and I'm a bit lost.

    Firstly how are katans in a av set up in general? I was looking to have my 2 front speakers shared between my 5.1 set up and my stereo to cut down on speaker numbers.

    If the katans are a good choice for 5.1, am I better buying 4 (2 fronts 2 rear) or just using 2 for the fronts and buying something cheaper/different for the rears? and what would be a good center/sub speaker to match them? (don't want a katan as center speaker would prefer a center that actually looks like a center!).


    Finally If they're not great what other speakers should I be considering? my budget is about £5000 for the hi-fi, av reciever and speakers.
