I can set the following to on/off on my Denon 1710:

    DRC (off)
    LPCM Select (on)
    Dolby Digital (on)
    DTS (on)
    MPEG (on)

I have to say I'm totally bamboozled about what I'm supposed to be doing here. My amp is a Denon AVR-1804, which is set to "auto" sound format on digital optical input.

With DTS or dolby digital set to "off" my amp does not recognize the stream as DTS/DD and plays it through its DSP simulators so I'm assuming that decoding of the disk has to be done on the DVD. What about CDs. Help!! :lease:
