    Hi,

I have just purchased some B&W ceiling speakers CCM65 (2 pairs). I have heared conflicting suggestions about positioning of the surround back channels. Heres where I think they should go:

    L -(S)------C------------R

    SL-----------------------SR

    -------SBL-------SBR

Most people are telling me the surround back channels should be in line with the front surround speakers and not be indented to the centre as shown above.

    What do you guys suggest??

    Regards
    BBoy

Assuming that you sit roughly centrally between SL & SR then I would say your diagram shows placement to be about right.
IIRC the surround back speakers should be about 4 feet apart, but this is obviously dependent on available space etc.

Have a look at this link to the Dolby site. I found it quite useful.

    Cheers, Beastie.
