help with 3d set up

    ok got optoma hd25e with zf2100 kit with glasses,got onkyo tx nr 616 and sony 3d blu ray player .I use 1.4 hmdi cable.i have wired player to amp and from amp to optoma projector I can not get 3d to work please help.

    What settings are the BR player and PJ set to? They need to be the same.

    Just for reference you don't have 1.4 HDMI cable as it isn't rated that way. Hardware is rated 1.3 1.4 etc cable is either high speed or not.

    all testing are set to either auto or 3d on

    I meant which type of 3D mate.

    ok thanks for replies I have set projector to dlp link and auto on br player {which is only option }

    On the PJ is it set to side by side or interlaced?

    .... I'll let Steve help you through the possibilities but i had a similar problem with a Sony HW55 using the IR glasses ..... have you by any chance got the short 3D sync cable plugged into the back of the pj ? , even without an actual RF emitter device plugged in to it it disabled the IR sensor on the front of the pj and made 3D viewing not possible

    yes got emitter plug in back of pj and ir function turn on in pj setting.on the emitter it has a joystick you can move about and load of led what is that for??if I plug blu ray to pj its plays film but 3d not working ,if I plug blu ray into input on av and pj on output its says no on blu ray no dervice detected.has the emitter got to be facing certain way

    right been playing if I connect blyu ray to pj it works fine even 3d just changed setting to vesa and re sync ok but once going threw av ,blu ray says 3d display not detected.im sure my hdmi cable is 3d supported and that my onkyo tx nr 616 is 3d ready any ideals ???

    Yes the Onkyo is 3D capable. If you do not use high speed hdmi cables you will not get all the available 3D formats for the projector . See pages 60 & 61 of the manual. Unplug the short accessory emitter cable from the back of the pj for the time being and just let the front mounted IR sensor on the pj do the 3D syncing
