There are 2 audio options on the TV. One called hdmi audio output and you can pick pcm or bitstream.

There is also a second audio output option again pcm or bitstream

If I am using arc from TV to soundbar what should I select

Second option sorry is pcm or dolby digital

The Samsung soundbar settings can be quite confusing, from what I could make of them

HDMI Audio Output
PCM = 2.0 (stereo)
Bitstream = pass 5.1 audio

Audio Output
PCM = 2.0
Dolby Digital = 5.1
DTS = 5.1
DTS Neo = 2.0 upmix to 5.1

There's no auto setting so if you pick Dolby you can only pass Dolby, you have to manually switch to DTS for example, I'm not sure if thats right but I couldn't get it to work reliably.

HDMI ARC doesn't allow PCM 5.1 audio either according to others on this forum so your always going to get stereo audio if you select PCM.

So if you wanted Dolby 5.1 you'd select bitstream and Dolby Digital in the menus. Then your set top box needs to be set to bitstream/pass the 5.1 audio as well.
