Help with 2.1 setup please

Anyone help? - I have a lcd tv and also have a pretty simple/basic 2.1 speaker setup - small sub with speakers connected, and then two red/white outputs to tv. The thing is, I have two options to connect it to the tv, one that uses the tv headphone socket and the other using the two r/w audio outs on the back of the tv. Which way would you advise? I've tried both and am not sure if there is any difference. Being pretty new to this, I'm just not sure basically.

Since it all depends on your unidentified TV, we can only give you advice on what to look for. Also you hardly want "two red/white outputs to tv", so I'll assume you want to take the sound from the TV to the 2.1's inputs.

The audio outs are the normal connection since the headphone socket always has a controllable level. Since your amp will also control the volume, the resulting double attenuation can be problematic. Also headphone sockets tend to be on the front or side, which may be aesthetically undesirable for a permanent connection.

Some TVs have a variable level output, others have a fixed level output, some are configurable (like mine). Some TVs allow the internal speakers to be disabled (like mine), others don't. Some TVs automatically cut the speakers when a headphone is plugged in, others don't, and yet others are configurable (like mine). Your TV's manual / on-screen help should answer the questions on what can be done, after which you can determine the better connection.

Samsung model numbers are generally 8 characters or more. I am therefore unable to identify "le37", except to assume it's one of the model that begins with these characters.

Most recent Samsung LCD TV's have a setup menu item to turn off the internal speaker. Go into the setup menu, choose sound and set the TV Speaker option to Off. You then use the TV's analogue audio out to run the sound to the amp. The manual that came with your TV should have full details, and my main advice is for you to read that manual.
