Help wifi issues

I have a samsung 2016 48 inch tv (h6400 i think) and the smart features can be annoying! I have a good wifi speed at around 36 mbps but the tv hardly picks it up and if so it is very weak. I live in 2 bed maisonette with my router in the bedroom and tv in the living room, my phone, laptop and tablet pick up what it should but the built in tv wifi really struggles. Any suggestions? What can i do?

A few options but no easy or free ones.

1) Invest in an ethernet to wireless bridge and hope that the wireless in the bridge is better than in the TV.

2) Get a more powerful WiFi system for the house so it better penetrates the room with the TV, not cheap if you want it done right.

3) Go with a cheap WiFi extender for the existing WiFi network, may do the job but they can be unreliable.

4) Go with powerline/homeplugs adapters (ethernet over power cables) and bypass the wireless, should do the trick but it depends on the quality of the wiring in the house in how well/fast they work.

What would you suggest that doesnt involbe messing with the wifi? The router is in another room, would a usb tv plug wifi booster work?

If you don't want to mess with the WiFi then go with the powerline option like these. Set up is plug into wall socket and press sync button on both units, thats it (one goes into TV ethernet and other into router ethernet).

Using a cheap wireless extender will involve some WiFi messing, you will have to set it up to clone the existing wireless network and all that, plus it can impact the overall speed on the WiFi.
