    Hi,

I have a bit of a dilemma here...

Originally I have a set of Pionner (2 floor standers, 2 surrounds, 2 back-surrounds, 1 centre), which I was quite happy with.

But then a couple weeks ago, I had an impluse buy... of a set of B&W speakers (4 book shelfs, 1 centre, 1 sub), at a price I couldn't resist.

Now I am 100% keeping the B&W sub. But the rest... which set should I keep?

    Pioneer
    - :) 7 speakers surround!
    - :) Richer sounding
    - :) Better looking
    - :( Takes a lot of space

    Floor Standers: S-H509V
    Surrounds: S-H210V
    Centre + Back Surrounds: S-CR30

    B&W
    - :) Made by B&W, man! (the big ego factor)
    - :) Clearer sounding
    - :) SWMBO is more happy with this set
    - :( Doesn't match the laminate flooring...

    Book Shelves: DM-601 S2
    Centre: CC6 S2

I am in two minds!! Please advise!!

Usually it's the missus that gets all tetchy about which speakers look the nicest!

I haven't heard the Pioneers, even though I'm a Pioneer electronics fan, but when you're watching a film in the dark, you can't see the pug ugly B&Ws, but you'll probably hear the difference!

Stick with the B&Ws unless your ears tell you otherwise!

    Regards

    RG

Definitely a personal choice, I would go with the B&W's...

I can't imagine you'll be disappointed with the B&W's in the long run. I love my 600 s3 speakers.

Dump the ones with the horrible yellow cone, IMO.
They're uglier than my SVS PB10.

sell the lot and buy the 700 series :)

they do various finishes so something should match

the other half should like them

will sound far better than what you got

    :)
