Help wanted to buy Sony DVD Recorder

Hello,

Don't know anything about DVD recorders really, what I want is a sony, one that does both DVD-R and DVD+R and Multi Region.

I ordered a multi region Sony RDRGX300 at £254, from WebElectricals.co.uk, at the begining of January and still waiting for it. much like this one http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/Product_ID/1968/source/kelkoo

I'm thinking now that maybe I should get one with a hard drive. I would like to edit stuff I record and copy stuff from VHS as well.

The only other one I've looked at is the SONY RDRHX900 DVD RECORDER
http://www.hifix.co.uk/sku.lasso?r=...7f93e659065f96c3873d5d3967f809d63369&rlog=kel

which according the the sign says its multi region, but its twice the price though. And I don't know wether I'll have to wait even longer and i do need to order off the web.

Any advice would be really appreicated, I really don't know what to do for the best

If you suffering a delay like this from a provider then simply cancel and use someone more reliable: www.rgbdirect.co.uk for example.

As to the HDD/DVDR v standalone DVDR argument plus the question of whether dual format is actually of any benefit may I suggest you have a look at the 'Which DVD Recorder?' link in my signature?
