    Hello. I am planning on hooking up two 15s (4ohms each) to this amp, which is 2 ohm stable. My question is if i hook the two subs up in parallel to one of the two channels will I only see half of the power of the amp?

    Could I try hooking up a 4ohm resistor with one sub in parallel on one channel and then hooking up another 4ohm resistor with the other sub on the second channel.

    Would the amp still see only two ohms and therefore be stable?

    Thanks for any help.

    You may be in the wrong part of the forum with this.....it's a car audio amp,and you may get more help in the relevant section.

    Anyway...2 4 ohm subs wired in parallel will give an effective load of 2 ohms....what you also need to look at is the following....

    * 1600 Watt Max Power
    * 2 X 220 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohm
    * 2 X 350 Watts RMS @ 2 Ohms
    * 2 Ohm Stable

    Whilst it's maximum power is quoted at 1600w,the actual power is much nearer to 200W@4 ohms.
