    Hi,
I've just had my house rewired with cat 6 ethernet, 2 in each room, one for data and one for the phone connection.

They all have been left in a bundle in the study for me to terminate. Im fine when it comes to terminating the data. But what the hell do I do when it comes to terminating 9 phone cables?

I have seen phone distribution panels, but only really in the US, so I don't suppose they work here?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot

    Tom

    Thanks.

I have hear that you can only have 4 phones connected at any one time, is this the case? Or do I just connect the cables as shown on the site?

    Thanks a lot

    Tom

You have to find out the "Ringer Equivalence Number" (REN) of each device you want to connect and they should add up to no more than 4 at any time. It should be marked on a label on each device. Modems, connected Sky boxes and faxes count too.
