I have an LG 50PC55 which is a great TV.
However, it now has two thin, pink lines on the right-hand-side of the display (near the middle) running from top to bottom. I can see a pink snow on the picture if I look closely at the screen. Not so noticeable from a normal viewing distance.
The pink is most noticeable on blue backgrounds and does not seem to show on brown.
I am wondering if it is worth opening the back of the TV and cleaning the ribbons, potentially replacing a board or even handing it over to a repair-man?
Does the TV sound completely broken or is it worth trying to correct?
PDP?!?!? boards are on EBAY for £25 if the ribbons turn out to be fine. Don't want to throw money away though.
