I have just received a Toshiba 330 dvd player (6 months old) having bought it on eBay.
I have plugged it in and everything lights up on the player and the menu appears on the TV screen.
When dvd discs are inserted the menu says NO DISC
The dvds work fine on a Sony 535 and a Toshiba 230.
The firmwear update disc supplied with the player is not recognised either.
Anything that I can do other than try to get it repaired under guarantee or whatever?
There was no damage to the packaging box and I am sure that the player must have worked well for the seller - seems a really nice guy.
    Thanks for any help.

Might be worth buying a DVD lens cleaner and giving it a try - I really don't know if that's the answer, but I would give it a try.

    Fingers crossed!

    Thanks for the advice.
Can anyone suggest the "best" lens cleaner to use?

However, i wonder if the laser or lens or disc loading mechanism has been shaken whilst Royal Mail delivered the Toshiba 330 to me?

Thanks again though for the help.
