Does the new version of Sonic Stage 3.1 not support transfers to my Sony MZ-N1 net MD player?

It keeps displaying the message below.

    "Cannot convert the specified track.
SonicStage does not support the file format of the track."

    TIA

    Files are mp3 to ATRAC.

Have Sony incorporated some sort of 'copyright' software into SS3.1?

The original OpenMG software was pretty stright forward so I may be going back to that.
I want everything on individual mini-discs as I have a Sony MDLP player connected to my cinema system, Sony MDLP head unit in the car and the above mentioned MZ-N1.

Some of the files I have on my PC I have already transfered to disc but since installing SS3.1 nothing will???

(I have checked that my recording head is OK via an external mic, so could it be my docking station. Files should still transfer to await writing to disc though????)

Have you had a look at the system files in control panel to see if the MZ-N1 is recognised as a usb device .............The MZ-N1 should have a PC-MD legend inb the display......
    This should work OK.
I presume its showing up in the Transfer window and you have the device selected .............It might be copyright issues, its twitchy about the origin of files .........I have a CD of my daughter doing a concert of classical songs and it wont transfer that as an mp3 because I Dont have copyright info on the file

    How daft is that

When I put the device in the cradle it does recognise Net MD.

Net MD is also listed in USB controllers.

    OpenMG here I come (again ;) )

every day I say two things as a matter of course

1 I F************ hate Lotus notes which a moron here installed instead of a proper email client. although I have a secret installation of Thunderbird (Hah They will never find out )

    Also

2 I F******** hate our phone system which needs a masters degree in things with lots of knobs on to work.

    Now I add another
    3 I F********** hate Sonic Stage

Rant over Thank you for your indulgence............

I'm with you, and add I hate OpenMG

Installed 2.2 and it is doing the same as SS3.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have all my misic in one file in my documents and all are mp3.

Should I be converting them before I try and transfer them then?

    ATRAC3 /ATRAC DSP TYPE R?

PITA, I can put everything onto CD-R then record from my DVD to MD separates.
