Help selecting a sat/sub system (MS Genie vs. KEF KHT 3005.2)

Hello all,

I'm trying to build an unimposing, but great sounding sub/sat home theatre setup for my living room. It will be mostly used for movies, but I would estimate at least 30% music.

I have narrowed my choices down to two:

1. Mordaunt Short Genie
2. KEF KHT 3005.2

I have been able to demo the Genie's here in Vancouver, but have not been able to demo the KEF's. Can anyone provide any input into these two systems? Has anyone heard the new KEF's?

Dude - forget em' both...

Your in Canada - so check out SVS or Hsu Research combos, 6.1 sat speakers with a sub or mid size 5.1 or 7.1 speakers in the case of SVS with a sub.

Both outstanding and incredible bang for your buck....

I bought the Hsu - but you cannot go wrong.....at least check out the websites and reviews via audioholics.com.....

Then buy a decent AV receiver of at least 100W per channel.
