We currently have a Sony KD 49xf8577 and are looking to renew to a larger size, the stand cannot be wider than 90cm. We watch from the sofa on the side and front if tv, so good side viewing is a must (see picture) we watch lots of football on sky and bt and other sports (darts etc) and the odd film.
Our budget is around £800.
Could anybody advise which make, model I should be looking at please

Do you think we would notice much difference if we were to spend a bit more and go to the LG 55 C1? ,especially with the viewing angles?

Yes, the Sony X90J viewing angles will be similar to your current TV. An OLED would be an improvement all-round, not only with viewing angles but picture quality too.
