Help required on System Setup

OK, I need some help here... Spent the last few hours connecting all the speakers, and these are my current problems:

1. I cant hear anything from the Tannoy centre or rear speakers.(sound is still coming from the TV). The front L & R and the woofer are all OK.

2. The receiver manual says to access the setup menu to resolve this, but I cant access the receiver menu on any of my AV channels.

3. The front LCD says the audio from Sky is analogue and stereo on the little indicators rather than digital or DTS or prologic. I am guessing this is probably down to the problems I have with the cables.

Here is how I am setup at the moment :

SCARTS

TV : AV1 ---- RECEIVER : DVR/TVIN/OUT
TV : AV2 ---- SKY : TV
RECEIVER : STB IN ---- SKY : VCR
RECEIVER : DVD IN ---- DVD : AV2

I was sold by Richer 2 x 2 RCA leads as that will be what will connect the DVD & SKY to the receiver. I dont seem to have enough connections in the receiver to do this !!

I have taken one of these leads and connected it as follows :

RECEIVER : DVD (STB) coax ---- DVD : OUTPUT RIGHT

The above is how the VSXC301 manual says to connect !

I would really appreciate some help here.

Thanks in advance.

the amp is a switching hub for scarts so standard audio travels through scarts
DVD - Amp ---> Scart + Coax/optical
SKY - Amp ---> Scart
Amp - TV ---> Scart (AV1)
SKY - DVD ---> Scart (AV2 on both)

moved the scarts around as advised, but no different, still sound coming from the TV, not the speakers ?

The Sky to Amp scart is from the "tv scart" on Sky box

The Amp to TV scart is from the DVR/TV IN/OUT scart on the amp

The Sky to DVD scart is from the vcr scart on Sky.

I assume these 3 are correct.

I also assume the Amp set up menu is not on screen, as the manual seems to imply this.

Sorry if there is something obvious but a bit of a newbie to this still :cool:

Looking forward to someone clearing the fog !!!
