    Hi,

    Just going to connect a Denon X5200 av-receiver to a Marantz MM8003 8 channel power amp for Dolby Atmos purposes 7.2.4 but I don't know how to connect the stereo pre-outs of the Denon to the singular interconnect of the Marantz. I have some interconnects but these are just single connectors.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    John.

    The pre-outs on the Denon are for each speaker/channel, so you only use one interconnect for each speaker.
    Out of the Denon and into the corresponding input on the Marantz.

    So one interconnect from the Denon to the Marantz but my problem is if I were connecting the Left speaker channel on the Denon to the Left Channel on the marantz then there are two connections for the speaker on the Denon and only one connection on the Marantz. Does the interconnect only go into one of the two connections on the Denon for the Left pre-out (White or Red?).

    Thanks.

    John.

    There isn't two connections on the Denon for each speaker, there's only one.
    Have a look at the labelling again on your Denon.

    L = Left Speaker
    R = Right Speaker

    Etc, etc

    Just had another look at the photos and I'm confusing myself with the Red and White pre-outs with the Red/White of the speakers. Thanks for your help.

    The preout on the Denon are Red for Right, White For Left. So just one cable for each speaker.
