Sevenoaks say they will replace my KEF 2005 subwoofer (Got the famous broken amp problem) FOC.
However I have lost my receipt.
If any forum members have bought from these guys and have a receipt I would be most grateful for a copy.
    Thanks for any help

Hi, sorry to hijack your thread here, as I do not have what you're lookling for but can't help but wonder what the "famous broken amp problem" is and how does it manifest irself?

I've had mine for almost two troublefree years now.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

If you can't find the receipt often places will accept a copy of your bank statement with the item on, if you've got them going back that far. Or your bank may be able to provide it if you know when it was (possibly for a small fee)

I bought a Denon amp on ebay that arrived with a fault, the seller sent me their receipt and Sevenoaks could not have been more helpful.

mozzer, I bought it around 14 months ago, I paid cash (dont normally do this but I had just sold my old bose system for £650, and the buyer paid cash).

mjcairney, the amp blows the small fuse very time you replace it, its due to some kind of power issue, KEF have produced a modified amp board now.

Take the fuse out, wrap it in tin foil, reinsert, job done :p
    Yes I am a cowboy....

Or you could put a much higher rated fuse in.

Why not put a six inch nail in it's place instead and start a house fire :nono:

Fuses blow for a reason. Normally to stop something else from going pop or worst still.

    Let Kef sort it out.
